Days Between Dates Calculator

Calculate the exact number of calendar days between any two dates. Perfect for project timelines, regulatory response windows, or campaign countdowns.

Here's a quick example

From February 1, 2025 to April 10, 2025 is 68 calendar days.

If you include the end date too, that becomes 69 days — which is how most marketing teams count down to a launch.

This works just as well for procurement deadlines, event planning, or compliance windows.

How to Use This Calculator

  • 1Pick a start and end date with the calendar inputs, or tap Today to prefill the current date.
  • 2Toggle Include end date when you need both boundary dates counted in the total.
  • 3Select Calculate Days to display the span instantly, then copy the summary into your tracking sheet.
  • 4Use Clear between scenarios so the next calculation begins with a blank form.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is the day count calculated?

We measure calendar days between the selected dates. By default the result excludes the end date. Enabling Include end date adds one extra day so both boundaries are counted.

What does 'Include end date' mean?

When this option is checked, both the start date and end date are counted in the total. For example, from January 1 to January 3 with 'Include end date' checked gives you 3 days (Jan 1, 2, and 3), while unchecked gives you 2 days (only counting the span between the dates).

Can I calculate days across different years?

Yes. The calculator spans months and years automatically, including leap years. You never need to adjust for February 29 manually.

Does the calculator count weekends?

Yes, it counts every calendar day, weekends and public holidays included. A business-days-only mode is on our roadmap.

What timezone is used for the calculation?

We default to US Eastern on the server for SEO, then switch to your browser timezone as soon as the page loads so the math matches your locale.

Can I save or share the result?

Copy the summary text or download the generated calendar image on related pages. Your start and end dates stay in the URL so colleagues can reproduce the calculation.
